1. SHE'S A BOOK GROUP AND LIBRARY FAN…
Linda has been a member of a continuously-running bookgroup for more than 20 years.
She says, “Good friends with great taste in books, expertise in everything from gardening to therapy to Indian food, and whatever you’re going through — someone else has been there before. What’s not to love?” And, she’s on the board of her local Friends of the Lafayette Library group, and is helping to build a new library in her hometown. Okay, let’s put it this way: She’s a library nut!
2. SHE ARRIVES WITH ENTHUSIASM AND SWAG…
She’ll bring a couple of Maggie Fiori commemorative T-shirts, questions for your group to discuss and consider, and half a dozen decent jokes. She loves hearing from readers and talking about books with other book-junkies.
3. SHE LIKES TO LISTEN AS WELL AS TALK, AND SHE LOVES TO MAKE PEOPLE LAUGH…
You know what Fran Lebowitz says about “There’s not listening in life; there’s just waiting your turn to talk.” Linda enjoys listening to readers’ ideas about books in general, mysteries, modern life, why reading matters to you.
Plus, if there are any budding writers in the group, she’s happy to talk about the writing and publishing process. She’ll reveal the truly awful alternative titles for EDITED TO DEATH and tell you more about the real-life locales in the Bay Area where EDITED TO DEATH is set.
4. SHE'S A CHEAP DATE…
A glass of wine or a cup of coffee, a cookie, some fun conversation — she’s a happy girl.
